What is Specialness?
Specialness is a little personal blog about my life. It is written by me, Janet. As the archives will show, posting has been somewhat hit and miss over the years. Specialness really came to life in April 2010 when we decided to have a baby, and I’ve been chronicling my journey through pregnancy and parenthood since then. It’s much easier to keep a blog maintained when there’s a topic to keep talking about, that’s for sure!
Who am I?
I am Janet. I am 24 years old. I live in Coventry, England with my partner Dave and Rebecca, our baby girl. You can read more about me here.
Who is the baby?
Rebecca was born January 6th, 2011. She’s awesome.
I have a tumblr where I post little snippits and photos and things related to Rebecca, to allow for more frequent posts than I’d like on my blog, of every cute little thing. Ok, so it’s mostly just instagram photos. They’re still cute though. You can find it at baby.specialness.net.
Why Specialness?
I have had many blogs with many names over the years, and have out-grown, become tired of or simply started to hate each one, for various reasons. I wanted something to stick with, something that could last and wasn’t really specific to a certain time in my life. I also just really like one word title blogs, what can I say? Specialness came about because it just sounded nice, and I like to try and bring a little bit of specialness to everything. It must have worked, as this is the longest I’ve stuck with one blog. I started blogging at 15 so it’s nice to finally settle down.
